Why I became a Realtor®
Just like many of you, my wife Elizabeth and I had problems and delays buying my first house. In fact, it was the most awful, stressful, gut-wrenching, difficult and insane ordeal I’d ever experienced. Everything that could go wrong DID go wrong – and the whole shebang took six months! Eventually we did own a very small, very wonderful home that I loved, but I knew there must be a better way to do this. Just a few months later I was an active licensed Realtor® …and I’ve been doing things better ever since!
Life before real estate
Yes, believe it or not, I did have a life before real estate! I grew up in Dallas playing all sorts of sports. My passion, though, was for baseball, and I almost played college ball at Arizona State University. Instead, I earned a degree in Small Business Ownership and Entrepreneurship. I spent time as a chef and in the high tech industry.
My business background has been invaluable in my real estate career. I learned how important it is to use a standardized process to manage every variable of real estate transactions. We make sure that every step of the transaction is managed — not just opening the door and showing the house, but the entire experience – before, during and after the sale. It’s a level of great service that is measurable and my clients love it.
What really matters to me, and how I’m different
Over the past three years, my sales volume has exceeded over $40 million. But I don’t want you to focus on some statistic.
My number one priority is my clients’ best interest. It’s not about me – it’s about you. I want my clients to know that no one is better equipped than I am to be in their corner. I am passionate about protecting every aspect of my client: personal, professional, investment value, money, time, property and yes, emotions. You come first, always.
I’ve worked with clients throughout the Austin area, from first time home buyers in Pflugerville and Cedar Park to young professionals buying condos downtown. I’ve worked with sophisticated clients buying and selling multi-million dollar properties in elite areas like Spanish Oaks. I don’t limit myself to one type of client or area. What’s important to me is to forge relationships that last a lifetime.
I love looking for unique opportunities to impress a client, to negotiate a deal in a better way and save them more money. I absolutely love to negotiate! As a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), I see little pieces of the puzzle that other traditional agents might not see. I help my clients make wise real estate decisions for a lifetime of worry-free home ownership. I ask myself, ‘How can I affect this person for the next 30 years in a positive way?’

In my free time
When I’m not advising clients or researching real estate statistics, I’m most likely watching professional baseball or enjoying dinner out with my beautiful wife. The two of us can easily spend hours savoring the food at some of Austin’s best restaurants like Barley Swine or Soto, or the barbecue at Franklin’s. My chef background helps me truly appreciate what goes into making a great meal.
I’m a huge Texas Rangers fan and I love to rent a party bus for my family, ten or twelve friends, my staff and clients to go out to the Rangers Ballpark. It’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday!
